Product Information:
The Aromatic Concolor Fir
The Concolor fir (Abies concolor), also known as White Fir or Colorado Fir, is a highly versatile and attractive tree, celebrated for its robust growth and adaptability, making it an excellent choice for both landscaping and certain agricultural applications. Growing at a moderate to fast rate, it typically adds 12-24 inches in height per year, eventually reaching impressive mature sizes of 30-50 feet tall and 15-30 feet wide in cultivation, with some specimens exceeding these dimensions in ideal conditions.

Its most striking feature is its beautiful, soft, silvery-blue to blue-green needles, which are relatively long and curve upwards, giving the tree a fluffy appearance. These needles emit a pleasant citrusy scent when crushed. Concolor fir is remarkably tolerant of a wide range of conditions, including drought once established, varying soil types (though it prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soils), and even urban pollution, contributing to its widespread appeal.

In landscaping, it serves as an outstanding specimen tree, providing year-round visual interest and a strong vertical element. Its dense foliage offers excellent screening and windbreak capabilities. For agriculture, its resilience and aesthetic qualities make it a popular choice for Christmas tree farms, where its excellent needle retention and pleasant aroma are highly valued. Its adaptability also makes it suitable for reforestation efforts in appropriate zones.
