Product Information:

The Coast - Douglas Fir tree is a faster growing evergreen tree native to the Pacific Northwest of the United States and is the most dominant tree west of the Cascade mountains.  Being ranked as the 3rd tallest tree in the world, it produces some of the largest lumber crops in the United States growing up to nearly 400 feet in height.

Some of the differences with the Coast Fir from the Rocky Mountain variety include a shallower root system and a dependence on a greater amount of moisture and less tolerance of cold temperatures.

Do not confuse this variety with its cousin of the Rocky Mountain variety.  Both are similar, but have different hardiness traits.
