Product Information:

Balsam Fir is a conifer native to the upper northeast of North America ranging from Minnesota eastwards into Maine and most all of the eastern provinces of Canada.  It likes moist soils with an average rainfall of 30 inches or more annually.  Balsam Fir is not a fast growing tree averaging only 9-12 inches annually.  However, it's attractive shape and dense dark green color makes for a popular tree especially amongst Christmas Tree growers.  It also has been historically used by Native Americans for medicinal purposes and the needles are rich in Vitamin C.
